Travel sketching adventure holiday (4 nights from 26 July)
This 3-day sketchbook adventure will take you through the essentials of travel sketching whilst having a lot of fun! We’ll be sketching the scenery in and around the historic hill-top village of Quarante as well as the Canal du Midi.
Why is this a travel sketching adventure? Because we’ll be taking the bus so you won’t even need a car! This will be great fun and sketching on-the-go, making memories and capturing the essence of those moments in your sketchbook.
Day 1 in Capestang we’ll focus on observing shapes, page planning and working fast and loose with watercolour
Day 2 we’ll take a trip to Béziers and work on how to sketch people and architecture
Day 3 in Quarante will be focused on perspective and landscapes, sketching flowers and nature
Our sketching itinerary starts the evening of 26 July. For the next 3 days we will start sketching in the morning and after lunch you then have the rest of the day to explore the area on your own, do some more sketching or relax and take a dip in the private pool.
Whether you are already sketching or an absolute beginner, Annette will guide you through the ErinHill system step-by-step. You’ll produce your first sketch within an hour and will complete your stay with some fabulous memories in your sketchbook!
Materials: We will be using the ErinHill sketch kit (items will be available for you to use on loan or to purchase if you do not have your own). You will need your own A5 spiral-bound sketchbook (min 110gsm) which can be purchased on arrival.
